Belleville Police investigate crash deaths of two motorcycle riders

A motorcyclist and his passenger died after being hit by a car in Belleville, Illinois. Authorities said the two-vehicle crash occurred just before 9 p.m. at the intersection of State Street and South Belt West.

The male motorcycle rider, 66, was on a 2000 BMW 259R motorcycle with a 60-year-old female passenger. The motorcycle collided with a white 2014 Chevrolet Cruz being driven by a 23-year-old man.
