Chicago Car Accident Research & Data Reports
Data-Driven Research on Chicago Traffic Safety
Every crash on a Chicago street generates a data point. Taken individually, those data points are easy to overlook — just another row in a city database. But analyzed together, they reveal the patterns, risks, and systemic failures that put drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians in harm’s way every day.
The reports below represent original research produced by the Chicago car accident lawyers of Briskman Briskman & Greenberg using City of Chicago crash records. Each report transforms hundreds of thousands of raw data records into clear, accessible analysis — identifying which roads are most dangerous, how injury rates are changing, and where the city’s traffic safety efforts are succeeding or falling short.
Our goal is straightforward: give Chicago residents the information they need to understand the real risks on the roads they travel every day — and give crash victims the context to know that what happened to them is part of a larger, measurable pattern that demands accountability.
New reports are added as additional research is completed. Check back for updated data and new analyses.
